Our History

 

The Foundation for Research in Health Systems (FRHS) was set up in 1989 as a not-for-profit organization.


FRHS works to improve management of India’s public health program through formative and action research.


We cover maternal care, adolescent health, child health and nutrition, reproductive and family planning, and HIV/AID programs.


FRHS is a registered non-profit society with a registered office in New Delhi; an administrative office in Ahmedabad and regional offices at Agra and Bangalore. FRHS is registered under FCRA.


In 2001 FRHS was recognized as Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) by the Department of Science and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology, government of India, New Delhi.


Our Mission


FRHS conducts formative and action research; undertakes policy and program evaluation in public health; designs and implements health management information systems (HMIS).
